How does Live Catering Work?

Our general overview of event is

  • We arrive at the venue to set up 1 hour before the time you like to start serving the meal with Marquee/Tables/Pizza Ovens with us.

  • Our chefs will check in with you, confirm the place of set-up, and plug in the power. Power is not mandatory for Day event but will require if it is Evening/Night event

  • We will prepare for service & soon as Guests arrive & when you are ready, we serve entrée, then we bring out the mains of your chosen menu on rotation, Four (4) pizzas at a time until guests are full and have stopped eating mains.

  • It takes around 10 minutes to pack away the savoury ingredients and prepare the equipment for the dessert pizzas, which are then served.

  • When all guests have finished eating and there are left overs, we pack-up and leave. The majority of our parties last between 1 – 3 hours, depending on guest numbers and menu.

What about the menu for the event? Do we need to select the flavour we want?

From the selected pizza menu, we will be rotating pizzas for your guests to let them try a slice of everything. We can prepare all varieties of Entree Pizzas, Gourmet Pizzas, Traditional Pizzas, Dessert Pizzas and more. If you don’t want a certain type of pizza, we can take it out from the list or if you want us to add something new, we can do it for you

Do you need any electric Supply?

Electric Supply is only needed if it is night event. We will bring 20mt extension cable to connect to your power point. We can also bring generator to venues that don’t have an electric supply within 20 meters of source. But keep in mind, if we are bringing a generator, it will incur an additional charge based on the number of guests.

How many pizza do you cook?

We have developed a professional cooking system that allows us to serve your guests quickly. We cook non stop for the time we are at your Event. Our staff are offering food to your guests continually, until they are full.

Do you have time limit?

You have us until your guests have stopped eating and there are left over pizzas – which for most functions is 1 to 3 hours.

Is there a minimum pricing per party?

Our minimum pricing for party is $800. This is for the pizza component only; sides, dietary requirements, travel or generator are not included.

Is there a minimum number of people we must have?

Yes, the minimum number of people is 30.

Our backyard has no drive through access. Can I still book you?

Absolutely, in fact most of our parties are catered from the front of the house. We can set up in the front yard or on the street and carry the pizzas to where your guests are seated. We can only cater from backyards if it has clear vehicle access. We cannot carry the oven as it is joint to trolley.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a non-refundable 20 % deposit is required upon booking to reserve the date and timeslot for your event. The deposit amount is calculated depending on your package choice.

What is your cancellation policy?

In the regrettable situation that you need to cancel your event booking, notification is required in writing & deposit is retained by Goodfellas Pizzeria. If you have a party booked with us, you paid a deposit, and your event falls within a government enforced lock-down that bans gatherings, we will return your deposit via EFT, or we can hold your deposit for 12 months from your original date to reschedule. Can I reduce my menu to one or two courses?

Yes! We are happy to adapt our menu and do less courses for you. For corporate lunches, we find dropping the entrees is a good way to compact the service time. People still eat the same number of pizzas, but they dig straight into the mains which are more filling.

What areas do you cover?

We cover entire sydney metropolitan area. We can travel to Blue Mountains, Wollongong & Central Coast. Additional travel fees apply for these regions.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash or direct transfer.

What space is required for the mobile pizza oven?

Sufficient space is required, with a minimum size of at least 2 car park spots. Please note that the oven and trailer weigh over 1 tonne and can not be lifted or carried to a certain location, it can only be driven.

Are you wood fired?

Woodfired ovens are often used because they are inexpensive, but the problem is that they are slow to cook and therefore slow to serve your guests.
They are also large and extremely heavy so generally they can’t be setup in the middle of the party, up stairs or inside halls or venues. Instead they operate from trailers that need to be setup in your driveway or on the street.
In addition, they can be a fire hazard, setting off smoke alarms and sprinklers and because of that, many venues will not allow them.

Can my guests watch you cook?

Yes we prepare and cook everything in front of your guests in our professional mobile pizza kitchen.
We don’t just provide amazing pizzas, by being able to be in the heart of your party or function we also provide colour, movement and the atmosphere of a Live pizzeria.

What do you provide?

We provide all the plates, napkins and trays as well as your own personal waitstaff to serve to your guests and pizza chef to prepare your choice of pizzas.
